Not To Scale, Pierre+Bertrand and adam&eveDDB collaborate to create fun-packed spots for classic Australian brand Schmackos.

After a hiatus of eight years, advertising legends Dorothy and Roger are returning to Australia’s television screens with a twist, now they are CGI. Pierre+Bertrand were were perfect team to tackle this project having previous experience in making stop-frame like CGI creations.

The original campaign had cult like status in Australia’s popular culture and the brief was to propel the well-loved characters, Dorothy and Roger, into the 21st century. The original spots were Claymation and P+B wanted to retain the look that the audience know and love but modernise them so they used CG animation in a Claymation style.

Meagan Hill,
Portfolio Marketing Director - Mars Pet Nutrition Australia
“I am beyond excited to bring this well-loved brand and it’s heroes back to the screen and back to Australians"

In the new ads, Roger goes 'wacko' for his Schmackos, with a series of mad, escalating responses to Dorothy’s requests for him to jump and roll over. The style of the animation is punchy with a very fast pace achieved through editing and superfast shots.
